Sara has been in the health and wellness field for over fifteen years. She holds degrees from York University (1995), University of Manitoba (2003) and Yorkville University (Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, 2020).
She has helped people struggling with trauma, pain, grief, life transitions, depression, anxiety, and stress. She approaches each person individually and helps them with their specific needs. Coming from a place of empathy and caring, Sara empowers her clients and provides a safe, inclusive space for healing. She is passionate about helping those who have experienced trauma, PTSD, childhood trauma and grief.
Sara is also a first generation Canadian and BIPOC. She believes understanding different cultures is very important and collaborates with clients in their healing journey. She offers individualized support using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) as well as mindfulness techniques. She is also trained in Cognitive Processing therapy for PTSD (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Contemplative End of Life Care.
