Signs that your child's pelvic floor may need help
- Bedwetting over the age of 5
- Bowel movements that are difficult to pass, painful or are less frequent than three times a week
- Fecal staining or soiling of underwear
- Refusal to use toilet and/or use of holding maneuvers to delay urination or defecation
- Unwanted loss of urine that is associated with an activity or with an urge to use the washroom
- An urgent need to go to the washroom
- Needing to go to the washroom more than 5-8 times a day
- Itching and/or burning in the pelvic region
- Abdominal pain
- Pelvic pain
- Frequent urinary tract infections
