Jana graduated with a Masters of Occupational Therapy (OT) from McMaster University in 2011. She graduated with a Masters of French Honours degree from the University of Toronto in 2009 and a Bachelors of Arts degree from Dalhousie University in 2007. Jana complements her OT treatment through the use of movement modalities, including Yoga. She is a Yoga Instructor with specialized training in Adapted Yoga for people experiencing injury or disability, in Post-Natal Yoga, and in Pelvic Floor Yoga.

Jana has a strong interest in working with people experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction that is impacting their daily life and meaningful activities. As an OT, Jana is client-centered in assisting with goal setting and helping clients move forward with what is most meaningful to them while simultaneously working to improve symptoms of pelvic pain, incontinence, sexual dysfunction, and pre- and post-partum issues.

She is a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapy (OSOT) and has presented at the OSOT Conference, including a presentation on the effects of introducing mindfulness and yoga-based modalities into the school system for both students and teachers. Jana maintains close ties with McMaster University's OT program and has been a tutor and student mentor for several years, supporting OT students interested in the evidence related to Yoga and other movement therapies for clients with neurological, sensory, and motor issues.

Jana has completed a Vinyasa and Hatha Training at the Downward Dog Yoga Centre in Toronto, a Yin Yoga Training with Tracey Soghrati Yoga in Toronto, an Adapted Yoga Training with Matthew Sanford at Mind Body Solutions in Minnesota, and intensive Trainings with Nikki Poole (Toronto) for Post-Natal Yoga and with Leslie Howard for Pelvic Floor Yoga in San Francisco.
